About the Role
Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems utilizing both on-premises and cloud-based hosting technologies
Analyze requirements and system architectures to develop system requirements specifications and resulting design plans
Administer, operate, manage and maintain components for on-premises and cloud-based virtualized systems
Reviews completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management and/or clients
Design and administer Configuration Management tools and suites and Patch Management solutions for desired state configuration and baseline management and control
Requirements
Demonstrated Design / scripting / coding skills (desired: Drupal, PHP, SQL): High
Demonstrated experience with Docker Containers: High
Demonstrated troubleshooting / analytical thinking / decision making skills: High
Candidates must be able to thrive work in a team centered environment and possess communication, interpersonal, project, problem-solving and time management skills: High
Knowledge of XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/AJAX, PHP, Rest API: Medium
Knowledge of security model / protocols / practices: Medium
Linux System Administration Skills (Preferred: Red Hat): Low
Demonstrated system monitoring experience (desired: Zabbix Application): Low
Database Administrative experience (desired: MySQL) Low Virtualization support experience (desired: VMware): Low
Summary
We are seeking highly motivated engineers with a thirst for learning, in support of a geographically dispersed, state of the art systems Embracing the DevOps model, engineers will be responsible for supporting their solutions throughout the entire IT project lifecycle, to include refining requirements, creating design documentation, creating installation instructions and deployment plans, and providing O&M support. Project assignments will vary based on skill level, and may include engineering geographically dispersed services, integrating services into public, private and hybrid cloud environments, engineering solutions to be deployed via automated CM tools, and hardening the solutions to address security and SCAP compliance.
